Registered Massage Therapy

Registered Massage Therapists (R.M.T.s) are highly trained healthcare professionals. Students must complete at least 2,200 hours of training over two to three years at an accredited college. This can be compared to a university bachelor degree, which typically averages 1,500 hours over four years.

Registered Massage Therapists are trained in the assessment of soft tissue and joints of the body, as well as the treatment and prevention of injury, pain and physical disorders. This specialized education, fully qualifies the Therapist to help their patients to decrease stress and manage pain.

There are many diverse physiological effects patients experience through massage, which are primarily due to the therapist’s hands moving over the body. The different movements can stretch muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia, encourage circulation through the tissue, inhibit muscular spasm and be either sedating or stimulating to the nervous system.

Moore Chiropractic Clinic has multiple Registered Massage Therapists who can treat you for stress related complaints, sport injuries and many other complaints such as headaches, stiff and painful neck, lower back pain and many more complaints of the musculoskeletal system.
